This year has definitely been a stressful time in my life but what made all the stress bearable was the fact that I was able to go on vacation right after my finals. I haven’t been on a proper vacation in about 3 years so needless to say I was quite excited when my mom told me to pack my bags because we are going to Boston! I was so pumped because the last time I was on a plane was in 8th grade and currently I am a Sophomore in college so it has been a while.
Now we weren’t just going to Boston a whim, we actually went up to Northampton first to help my cousin move out her dorm for the summer but Boston was only a few hours away so after we got her all packed up we headed over. Now I have never researched Boston so I had no idea what to expect and I wanted it to be a surprise once we got into the city the next morning.
To get into the city we took Metro which was an amazing experience all in itself. I don’t know why but I loved the atmosphere of city-life and the journey getting there made the experience even more special. A few stops later and we were finally inside the city, it was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot and not too cold it was the perfect weather to go and explore the city. The first thing that we did in Boston was taking a duck tour, if you have never heard of this it’s basically this big boat/truck that takes you all around the city and it takes you into the Charles River as well.
Now that I have briefed and where I went, I’ll have the pictures depict more of what really went down in this beautiful city!
Just your average plane pic 😉
My cousin took this photo in one of the gardens on her campus- it was so peaceful and beautiful! Click this photo to see my travel diary video on Youtube!
Okay! My first picture of Boston and this is where I started falling in love with the city and its beauty!
I wish I could’ve gotten this building in its entirety! It is so beautiful but so massive
Some duck tour photos coming your way 🙂
I could not get over this water it was so gorgeous!
The duck tour was a 90-minute trip and after our tour was finished my whole family was starving so we decided to head over to Max Brenner’s Chocolate themed restaurant for some delicious food.
Probably one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had and the waffle fries were to die for! My mom got a classic cheeseburger (far left), my cousin got fancy mac and cheese (Upper left corner), and my aunt got the chicken cheesesteak waffle sandwich (upper right corner)
After lunch, we were ready to explore the city!
Trinity Church right in the middle of the city 🙂
Classic city street photo.
Sadly, I was only able to spend one day in Boston so I didn’t get too many other photos but our next stop is Hilton Head, South Carolina!
Pretty sure we were in Washington, D.C. but I have no idea what this building is haha.
We made it to South Carolina! This road was so beautiful to me!
Checking out the lighthouse at Harbour Town 🙂
Stopped by the beach for a little bit before getting something to eat.
The sunsets here were beyond compare to anything I have ever seen before!
That pretty much sums up my trip, it was definitely an adventure and I made memories that I will never forget. I hope you enjoyed seeing the photos that I took and I will see you in my next post!
